About Us

Founded in February 2021, Emory Composers’ Society is a student organization dedicated to creating and sustaining a rich, vibrant community for music creators on campus. Members engage in the creative process, from learning skills from music tech to independent publishing, discussing and workshopping pieces with fellow musicians, and presenting them to the public. ECS has also become a bridge between composition majors, performers, and community members. We connect student musicians and composers, enabling reading sessions, end-of-semester concerts, and performances at honors thesis, senior projects, and departmental concerts.
